Performance studies
Improving productivity is a central tenet of sustainability. Making mining operations more sustainable is thus not only good for the planet, its people, and the industry’s social license to operate; it also offers clear financial benefits for mining companies.
Our work at mines around the world has only reinforced this point. We have seen many times over the economic gains that come from embedding sustainability at the heart of mining operations. Increased energy efficiency, process optimisation, electrification, and better water stewardship practices all deliver an improved bottom line, as does the adoption of circular mining practices, new technologies, and alternative processing solutions.
With real-world examples from our work at operating mines, the following performance studies demonstrate this link between sustainability, operational improvement, and profitability.
